September Prayers

September 1

Jesus, thank You for coming to ransom us with Your own life. We love You, worship You, trust You. Thank You for You have delivered us from the kingdom of darkness. Amen and amen.

Lord God today we choose to praise You, for You are the One who is able to bring good out of any bad situation, Lord, for You answer our prayers. Thank You. Amen

September 3

Father when we read Your words let them flood our hearts and minds. That we would treasure every word and obey Your truths. Oh that we would learn and remember each one. May they be on our tongues when we speak. We ask this in Jesus’ name, amen.

Lord God, forgive us for the times we have responded with a wrong attitude to negative situations. Help us to trust that You have already worked it out and that You have our best interest at heart. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen

Lord, help us to recognize the opportunities to be Your hands and feet. Thank You for loving us so we can love those around us. Amen

Lord, thank You for giving us a love that’s worth talking about but help us to walk it out in our lives. Amen

We are grateful, Lord, that You can turn any and every situation in our lives around for good. Help us today to focus on You rather than our past. There are painful pasts for some of us that we need You to turn them into something beautiful. In the name of Jesus we pray, amen.

Dear Lord, open our eyes to see where we are not living in Your wisdom. Let us not just accept Your discipline but appreciate it for the blessing it is. Amen

Lord, thank You for teaching and guiding us. Oh that we would not despise Your discipline but embrace it because it comes from Your great love. We never want to forget the lessons You have taught us. Amen

Lord, thank You for Your peace that surpasses all understanding. This world is raging, we ask You keep us close to Your heart. We want to dwell in Your peace all the days of our lives. Amen

Lord God, help our children embrace the purpose You created them for. Give them courage to step out in faith and become all You designed them to be. Amen

Fathers help us to discipline our thoughts. That we would focus on Your truth, and be able to rid our minds of sin. In the name of Jesus we ask. Amen

Father we thank You for the example You have given us throughout the Bible. Help us to be more like those who walked with You, totally trusting You and standing on Your promises You made to them. In Jesus’ name we ask. Amen

Father, thank You for Your Word. It is a lamp to our feet and light to our world. Lead us to the treasures You have for us today. Lord, speak to us for we are listening. Tell us great and unsearchable things we do not know. Help us to see wonderful things in Your law. Amen

Lord, thank You for Your patience during life's tests and trials. You allow us to try and even fail again and again. Help us to learn from past mistakes. We want to learn, grow, and have a closer relationship with You. Amen

Lord we are so thankful that You are trustworthy. You gave us this life, and You have a plan and purpose for it. You are with us guiding, encouraging, and developing our faith. Help us to remember that You know what's best and You will give us what we need. Amen

Lord God we confess that so many times we get too busy with our own lives or our hearts don’t care as we should about the people around us. Some can be carrying heavy burdens, or are experiencing loss yet our hearts can be cold. Give us hearts that truly care as Jesus did. Amen

Father, we honor Your Word and we ask You to help us take our time as we read it, so it will affect the deepest parts of us. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen

Lord our desire is to abide in You. Teach us to abide in You at all times. We desire You more than any other and apart from You we can do nothing. In Jesus’ name we thank You. Amen

Father we pray for our nation and for those who are in leadership, our president, vice president. Those in the cabinet. We pray for the Congress and Senate, our governors and mayors. Oh Lord if only they would be believers. We ask for miracle upon miracle as they make decisions on our behalf as a people and as a country. Amen and amen.

Lord help us quickly recognize when our eyes have shifted away from You and onto the world around us and help us to quickly turn back to eyes fixed on You. In the name of Jesus we ask. Amen

Father in heaven, help us to realize that You have nothing but good things in store for our lives. Thank You that even when You correct and instruct us, You are showing us a better way to live. We are grateful for Your goodness and the joyful life we have in You. Amen and amen

Lord, we are so very grateful for Your mercy and grace that covers us day by day. Help us to be able to give mercy and grace to others that You have given to us. Amen

Lord, we know we can do all things that You have called us to do, because You provide the strength to do it. There are times we allow fear to creep in and and we lessen who You are. You call us to be bold in our faith; forgive us when we aren’t. In the name of Jesus we ask. Amen

Lord God, help us to truly see the needs of others. Teach us to love people through both encouraging words and actions. Amen

Father God, thank You for Your grace and mercy when we go back to our old behaviors, thoughts, or ways. Sometimes we lose our way. Help us to quickly get back on the straight and narrow path. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen

Thank You Lord for Your continual direction in our lives. You know the deepest desires of our hearts, and You have a plan and purpose for our lives. Your plans are to prosper us and not harm us, plans to give us hope and a future. Help us to trust Your higher ways and never lean on our own understanding. Amen

Lord help us choose a positive attitude each day. Remove our attitudes of anger and frustrations. That we would not be short tempered. Fill us afresh with the fruits of the spirit. In the name of Jesus we ask. Amen

Abba, You know what some of us are dealing with. You know how hard this is for us. Thank You, for You have given us access to Your strength, power, and wisdom. Hold our hands and help us through this trial. In the name of Jesus we ask. Amen

Father some of us struggle with pride. Humility doesn’t come easy, but we want to be like You. Teach us to lay aside our self-centeredness and put the needs of others before our own. In the name of Jesus we ask. Amen
