August Prayers

August 1

Father, thank You for declaring us righteous and thank You that our place with You is secure. We know we can depend on the death of Jesus on the cross that has covered our sins and we don’t have to do anything to earn our salvation. Help us to experience the peace and joy that only Your Spirit can give as we walk in this truth. Amen

August 2

Father God, thank You for making us perfectly. Some of us have a hard time believing that. We get lost in the image of the mirror and whispers from the enemy take hold of our thoughts. We begin to believe we are not enough or our body image is not how we want to look. Thank You for reminding us that we are made in Your image, we are fearfully and wonderfully made. Amen

August 3

Father, thank You for bringing us into Your family. Help us to remember our true identity as Your child. Remove the lies from our hearts. We praise You, God, for everything You've done in our lives. Amen

August 4

Lord, give us strength to keep going when things are hard. Help us to stay determined, trusting Your timing. May we not give up on the path You’ve set before us. In Jesus name we ask. Amen

August 5

Holy Spirit, show us areas of pride in our lives. Help us walk in humility, trust Your timing, and to rely on You instead of ourselves in all things. We ask in Jesus’ name. Amen

Lord, help us to choose joy in every part of our day. Teach us to appreciate the simple moments and live with gratitude, peace, and a joyful heart. Amen

August 7

Lord God, it is so easy to let go of depending on You and get caught up depending on ourselves or others. Strengthen us and set us on Your firm foundation and not be moved. In the mighty name of Jesus we ask. Amen

August 8

We give glory to You our God, for the way You have kept us, protected us, led us. We praise You for all You have done in our lives and all You have yet to do. Amen

August 9

Lord, each day You open our eyes is a gift from You. You give us such an abundance of peace and love. Thank You Lord for these gifts You provide every day. Amen

August 10

Lord, help us desire Your will above our own. Give us wisdom, peace, and courage to follow Your direction and trust that Your plans are best. Amen

August 11

Heavenly Father, thank You for being so patient with us when we must have all the answers before we can act. In the name of Jesus, help us to simply trust in You, knowing that You will give us what is best for us life. Amen

August 12

Lord our desire is to trust Your ability, but it can be difficult. We can so easily be convinced that we can handle our lives alone instead of being aware of how weak we can be. Lord we acknowledge that even on our best day, Your ways are higher than ours. Amen

August 13

Dear Lord, here we are before You. Look into our hearts and minds and cleanse us from our sins. Forgive us Lord and lead us in the way of righteousness. Amen

August 14

Father, You are righteous and You do righteous acts. We praise You for all Your goodness You give to each of us. We want our mouths to be filled with gratitude, not complaints. Please help us with this Lord. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen

Father, help us to grow continually in unwavering trust and steadfast confidence in You. In Jesus name, amen.

Lord, when our emotions are intense and get out of control remind us Lord, to find rest in Your presence. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen

Lord, help us speak words that honor You. Fill our hearts with gratitude and teach us to praise You in every situation. Let our words reflect Your goodness, amen and amen.

August 18

Father we thank You that You are our healer. You have not left us to suffer in the pain of our pasts. You are healing our wounds and giving us the strength to move forward. We praise You and thank You our Jehova Rapha.

August 19

Lord, give us courage to choose Your way above all else. Help us say yes to You, even when it’s difficult and trust that You are leading us to good things. Amen

August 20

Father help us focus on what truly matters. Give us the wisdom to set priorities and avoid distractions so that we will grow closer to You each day. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen

August 21

Lord, help us find true rest we can only have in You. Teach us to trust You fully, let go of our burdens and receive the peace and restoration only can You give us. In the name of Jesus we ask. Amen

Father thank You for loving us more than we can even comprehend. In the name of Jesus, we ask You to help us love and honor You so much that when You speak, we will have only one thought in our minds and that is to obey You. Amen

Lord only You can see people's hearts. Give our children the wisdom to know the right relationships they should be connected to. We ask You to guide them to the the right friends as You know their weaknesses and we ask that You help them not to be influenced by others. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen

Lord help us to learn Your ways, love Your ways to desire Your ways. Amen

August 25

Lord Jesus, we come to You asking to be restored in You and renewed in You. Revive us Lord. We desperately need Your love and all the grace and mercy today. Amen

August 26

Lord we honor You and surrender every part of our lives to You. We give You our spirit, soul, body, heart, mind, and our will. Cover us with Your blood. In the name of Jesus we ask, amen and amen.

Lord God, You alone are worthy of all our worship and our heart’s devotion. You alone are worthy of all our praise. We love You, we worship You. We give ourselves over to You, today and always. Amen

Heavenly Father, thank You for for loving us and choosing us before You made the world. You are our true Father, our creator and redeemer. We love You. Oh that we would love You more. Amen and amen.

Lord You know that it is hard for us to keep positive attitudes, especially when things don’t go the way we think they should. Help us to discipline our minds and take our feelings and thoughts and place them before You. That we would think before we speak and if it is best not to speak at all. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen

Lord God lead us deeper into Jesus today. We receive You with thanks, and we give You total claim to our lives. In Jesus' name, amen.

August 31

Heavenly Father slow us down. We can get so caught up in our lives that we miss the special moments You have prepared for us. In the name of Jesus we ask. Amen
