October Prayers

October 1

Lord, we want to walk before You faithfully and be blameless. Father, we can’t do that on our own. We need You to walk with us and guide us every day. Amen

Lord, we want to know You more deeply. We want that close personal relationship. Give us the desire and discipline to seek You daily, to draw near to Your throne, and grow in our relationship with You. Amen

Lord we are sorry for looking at other people’s lives and comparing ourselves to them. We are sorry for thinking You haven’t been fair with us. Thank You for Your grace. We want to serve You in any way we can. Amen

Lord, open our eyes to Your power and Your resources. Help us to see them and take hold of them. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen

Father there are times when we feel like giving up, like we can’t do it anymore, like things will never be good again. Remind us Lord that we have the power to rebuke the devil and His arrows. Remind us the battle is Yours and You’ve already won. Amen and amen.

Lord what special skills have You given each of us? Show us how to use the gifts You created in us to serve others and bring You glory. Amen

Father, we release our worries, our problems, and ourselves entirely into Your hands. In the name of Jesus we ask You to change our thoughts so they align with Yours. Amen

Lord, thank You for answering our prayers, not because of our goodness, but because of Your goodness and mercy. Keep us humble, grateful, and mindful of Your grace in everything we do. Amen

Lord, please help us step out in faith when You call us to walk in a direction that is totally not what we thought. Give us courage to move as Your Spirit leads, trusting Your promises will come to pass. Amen

Father, forgive us for not taking better care of ourselves. Help those of us to repair any damage we have done to our bodies. In Jesus’ name. Amen

We thank You, Father, that You lead us in peace. Help us be sensitive to the leading of Your Spirit as You set the course for our lives. Thank You for the peace that comes with knowing You are in control and You have a good plan for us. Amen

Lord we lift up those who are having difficulties in their finances. We pray You provide and give them peace during this time. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen

Lord, help us seek Your plan first and give us the trust to follow Your direction instead of our own. Amen

Father, please help us trust You with childlike faith. Teach us to come to You honestly, depend on Your care, and grow closer to You every day. Amen

Father, Thank You for always being ready to listen to us. Right now we are asking You to please help us use words that honor You. Fill our hearts with Your word, so our thoughts and words bring You praise and honor. Amen and amen.

God, thank You for the wisdom You have so generously given us. Help us to seek Your guidance in all areas of our lives. May our decisions be rooted in Your Word and bring honor to You. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen

Lord, please give us the endurance to finish what You've called us to do. We can let the excitement fade and start to waver. Help us stay rooted in Your promises and committed to Your plans. Amen

Father we want to obey Your call on our lives. Oh that we would trust that You have equipped us for every task. We surrender our fears and doubts to You and step forward in faith. Use us for Your glory. In Jesus' name. Amen

Lord God, thank You for the people You have placed around us. Help us to rejoice in their callings and their victories. Remove any spirit of comparison or jealousy from our hearts and replace it with love. In Jesus' name, amen.

Lord some of us feel stuck; we aren’t growing. Renew our minds, heal our souls and help us move forward in our walks with You. In the name of Jesus we ask. Amen

Lord, help us worship You in truth. We need You to teach us and show us how to be completely honest with You about our hearts, our struggles, and our desires. Amen

Lord, thank You for inviting us to come boldly to Your throne despite our sins. Please help us to pray with confidence, and to trust Your goodness, rather than my own. Amen

Father help us overcome rejection when it happens to us. Help us always believe the best of people and not assume they are rejecting us when that might not be the case at all. Let us be more concerned about how we are treating others than we are about how they are treating us. Amen

Lord prepare us to run the race ahead of us. Oh that we would be fully submitted to You Lord and Your will for our lives. Give us the desire to dig deep into Your Word, by reading, digesting, and learning to seek You and apply Scripture to our lives for every need. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen

Our Lord God we believe You are the Creator of all healing, and we trust You for healing. We are grateful that You forgive all our sins, and we praise and thank You. Amen

Father, we want to be as close to You as we can be. Help us not to be ashamed or to feel uncomfortable in any way in Your presence. May we be humbled Lord. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Lord, please don't let our complacency steal our passion for You. We want to be intimately familiar with You. Help us stay amazed by the amazing work You are doing in our lives. In Jesus’ name. Amen

Lord, we pray for our families to know You and build their lives upon Your Word. We pray that all our families would have a saving relationship with You. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen

Make us wise Lord, in how we live our lives. May our foundation be built upon You and Your Word. That we would not seek to build on anything else. Amen

Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of Your Holy Spirit who produces in us spiritual fruit. Help us to abide in Jesus, the true vine. May the fruit of Your presence in us bring glory to You and draw others to Christ. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen

Lord, thank You for showing us perfect agape love through Your Son’s sacrifice on the cross. We confess that we often fall short in loving others as You have loved us. Pour Your love into our heart through Your Holy Spirit, especially toward those we find difficult to love. Help us to express Your love not just in words but in actions. In the name of Jesus we ask. Amen
