November Prayers

November 1

Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of joy that goes beyond our circumstances. Forgive us for the times we’ve allowed temporary troubles to rob us of the deep, abiding joy You offer. Fill us with Your Holy Spirit and restore to us the joy of Your salvation. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen

November 2

Lord we lift up those of us and any that we know who are battling depression. Father help them to know Your peace and comfort. Bring them to the light and out of the darkness of despair they find themselves in. Set them free of this bondage. In the mighty name of Jesus we pray. Amen

November 3

Lord, help us guard our mouths and tame our tongues. Give us the strength to speak words that please You and honor Your Word. Amen

November 4

We thank You Lord for giving us a peace that surpasses understanding. Forgive us for the times we’ve looked for peace in worldly things, relationships, achievements, financial security, instead of in You. We surrender our anxieties to You. Guard our hearts and minds with Your peace. In Jesus’ name. Amen

November 5

Lord God, we acknowledge the ongoing battle between our sinful nature and Your work in our lives. Forgive us for the ways we’ve caused You grief. We can be unforgiving, worldly, and fearful. Give us the desire and the power to overcome what hinders Your fruit from flourishing in our lives. In Jesus’ name, amen.

November 6

Lord Jesus, sometimes we are like one of the disciples, requiring all kinds of proof before we can believe You. How many miracles do we need to see before we can call You the Son of God? Help us to be more like Peter, ready and willing to walk with You in any and all storms of life. Thank You for loving us and encouraging us to follow You in faith. Amen

November 7

Lord help us reject the easy way that our flesh so much desires. Our desire is to pursue the life You planned for us, no matter how difficult it can become. That our lives bear fruit that brings You glory. Amen

November 8

Lord, help us to keep our word even when it costs us. Make us people of integrity, showing the Holy Spirit living in us. Amen

November 9

Lord our God, no matter what challenges we face today, we thank You that we can rejoice and be glad. Thank You that our joy is not found in our circumstances but our joy is found in You. Help us keep this joyful attitude in everything and at all times. Amen and Amen.

November 10

Lord some of us are physically limited and we can feel useless. Remind us even when we’re physically limited, a smile, a word of encouragement, a prayer can be used to minister to others. Amen

November 11

Father no matter what happens in the world around us, help us keep our hearts from growing cold and help us stay stirred up in our love and belief in You. In the name of Jesus we ask. Amen

November 12

Our God, thank You for inviting us into a close relationship with You. Help us and guide us into a deep, personal, and intimate relationship with You. Draw us closer to You, help us know You more deeply, and teach us to love You more fully. Amen

November 13

Lord, some of us are under the weight of heartbreak, or shame, or pain, or confusion, or anger. These are heavily on our shoulders. We want to praise You, but we confess it is hard to do so at this time. Remind us Lord that Your love never fails us. In Jesus’ name we pray.

November 14

Father, we are not strong enough to walk through our trials alone. Open our ears to hear Your voice. Lead our steps in this moment and remind us of the truth that You will be with us in each step we take. In the name of Jesus we ask. Amen

November 15

Lord we lift up our work places. Some of them can be toxic. We ask for empowerment to be light in these dark places. Fill our hearts with a burden for their salvation. In the name of Jesus we pray.

November 16

Lord, help us to choose good thoughts on purpose today. Fill our minds with what is true and lovely, so there would be no room for the enemy's lies. Amen

November 17

Lord, protect us from the attacks of the enemy and help us to rely on You more each day. You have overcome the world and You are bigger than any trial we face. In Your name we pray, amen.

November 18

Thank You, Father that You are a refuge for us. We know that because You are with us we can feel safe and secure. Thank You that no matter how difficult life may seem, we can be at peace because You will never leave us nor forsake us. Amen and amen.

November 19

Lord, if those in the Bible could endure through all the trials they faced, by Your grace we also can make it through whatever we face. Help us to remember this and see beyond the trials to You. Amen

November 20

Lord God there are those of us who have had to place our elderly parents into nursing homes. Lord protect them for only Your eyes can see what goes on behind closed doors. Keep them safe, encamp them with loving caring people. In the name of Jesus we pray.

November 21

Father, thank You that through Jesus, we are made righteous in Your sight. Help us to see ourselves the way You see us, accepted, approved, loved, and made right. Amen

November 22

Father, we want to love others the way You do, but sometimes we can try to control them. Thinking we know what’s best. Father we need Your help to allow people to discover the freedom to follow You and become who You created them to be, not what we believe they should be. We ask this in the name of Jesus. Amen

November 23

Lord Jesus, please forgive our lack of faith. Increase our faith in Your Word and help us to trust You. In Your holy name. Amen

November 24

God, we praise You for being our strength, defense, and salvation. We praise Your greatness and goodness. We praise You for You are our Father. Amen

November 25

Lord Jesus, as our children go about their daily activities, we ask for Your guidance and protection. Be with them in their comings and goings, shield them from accidents and dangers. May Your presence go before them. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen

November 26

Lord as our nation celebrates Thanksgiving and we come before You giving You praise and thanks, incline our hearts to be ever grateful not just today. Oh that each one of us would always praise You and give thanks every day. Amen

November 27

Lord, we need Your help to never give up on You, Your promises, or the purpose You've placed in our lives. Keep us faithful in prayer and steadfast in obedience until we see Your answers. Strengthen our faith to trust You in every season. In Jesus’ name we ask. Amen

Father, when we feel like we are in a pit, help us. Set our feet on the rock and give us a firm place to stand. In Jesus’ name. Amen

November 29

Father we are asking for healing for those we love who are sick. We ask that You mend what is broken. Open any blocked arteries or veins. Remove all inflammation and cleanse any infection. We ask because we know You are able. You are the great physician. Restore their bodies the way You created them. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen

November 30

Lord, we are thankful for Your wonderful works in our lives. Help us exalt Your name and share our testimonies of salvation and Jesus to everyone who knows us. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen
