April Prayers

April 1

Lord because You are our Shepherd, we are cared for. We are led and we are restored. Thank You, for in this we find contentment, which is not found in having everything we desire, but in trusting You our Shepherd we already have everything You need. Amen

April 2

Father, oh that we would seek You in prayer and pray according to Your Word. That we would submit and surrender to You more fully in our lives. Forgive us because we can be complacent and not come to You. Amen

April 3

Father, thank You for giving us bold access to You. Help us to approach You with confidence, listen for Your voice, and enjoy the intimate relationship You long to have with us. Amen

April 4

Lord, help us to abide in You daily. Teach us to include You in every thought and decision. That we would not go it alone. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen

April 5

Oh sweet Lord, we know that You love us and because of You we are more than conquerors. We need You in our current situation. We believe that You will help us through. We will trust You all the way to the finish. Amen

Lord, we surrender every overwhelming situation to You. Strengthen our faith to believe nothing is too hard for You. Turn our challenges into miracles and help us to trust in Your power completely, In Jesus’ name we ask. Amen

Heavenly Father forgive us when we look to outside information instead of Your truth in Your Word. We confess we often seek answers to what we are thinking or feeling from other sources. You are the truth, and yet we look to other things or people to inform our decisions. Forgive us Lord, in the name of Jesus we pray. Amen

Father, we are grateful for this new day that You have given us. Let not the actions or attitudes of others change our joy because You are the source of our joy. Amen

April 9

Father, help us remember You in all things. No matter what is going around, like when the kids are arguing, when the chores feel like they’re piling up, when the bills get stressful, we still serve You. Our obedience to You shouldn’t change based on what happens in our life and if they do, turn our minds back to the truth. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen

Oh Lord give us faith that worships. Faith that trusts. Faith that is anchored to Jesus. The kind of faith that pleases You. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen

Lord forgive those of us when we begrudgingly share the gospel. Instead of being filled with joy, we act out the sharing without the joy. We know this is what we are called to do, but we have made it a “have to” instead of “we get to.” Fill us with the joy of knowing we are being used by You to bring others to Christ. Amen

Lord, give us courage to move beyond yesterday’s pain. Heal our soul, restore our strength, and lead us forward into the new, abundant life You’ve prepared for us. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen

Father renew our minds, will, and emotions. Help us to submit every thought to You. Mold our motives Lord, guide our steps. Continue Your sanctifying work in each of us today. In Jesus’ name we ask, amen.

April 14

Jehova, our healer our physician, we come before You with heavy hearts. Some of us are battling habits and addictions that have taken control over our bodies, our thoughts, our strength. We ask that You break the chains and release us from this darkness and heal us. In the name of Jesus we ask. Amen

Lord when we wake up in the middle of the night and it seems for no reason, may we call out to You and ask, Lord what do You want me to know? Is there someone who needs prayer? Let us not see it as an annoyance of losing sleep, but a blessing of spending time with You. Amen

April 16

Father, we are so grateful for what Jesus did for us. Help us never take for granted the freedom He died for us to have. We pray we always have this gratitude and keep ourselves from complaints. Amen

Lord we can so easily become angry, frustrated, disgusted or appalled when we see the sins of others, but are blinded by our own. Some can even be the same as theirs. Father forgive our hypocrisy. May our finger pointing turn toward ourselves. Amen

April 18

Lord help us to be willing to surrender whatever we need to in order to be obedient to You. We can hold on so tightly to those things that are not beneficial for us. Empower us to let go. In Jesus’ name we ask. Amen

April 19

Sweet Lord, thank You for beginning a good work in us. Help us to accept Your correction with gratitude and to submit quickly to Your leading, and trust You to complete everything You’ve started in our life. Amen

April 20

Father, thank You for the gift of our children, for the joy and laughter, even for the times they try us. Give us godly wisdom to raise them in Your word and to be godly examples. Amen

April 21

Lord God, may our faith grow and not be stifled by the lies of the enemy. There are prayers we’ve prayed and yet have not been answered. Give us the faith that does not waiver, the faith that holds onto hope in the midst of waiting. Amen

April 22

Lord help us to be obedient to Your whispers when You ask us to call someone, visit someone or send a card. When these promptings arrive, oh that we would heed the call You have given us to minister to those people. In the name of Jesus we ask. Amen

Jesus You are the captain of our salvation and the anchor of our Soul. Thank You for You keep us when we are hit with the waves of life and You do not let them overtake us. Amen

Father we thank You that we are a new creation in You. We am so grateful for a fresh start and the new nature You have given us. Help us to leave the old ways behind today and live a brand new victorious life in You. Amen

Lord we invite You to examine our hearts and minds. Show us those things that cause You sorrow, that are harmful to us. In the name of Jesus we ask. Amen

Sweet Jesus, what words can we say, that can describe the beauty of who You are. The wonder of Your works. The majesty of Your reign. Only You Lord are God, only You are creator. Only You are Savior. Only You are love. In these and so much more we praise You. Amen

Lord forgive us when we come before You with our “whys and how’s”. Almost accusing You. Help us believe You are totally and completely faithful and have our best interest at heart. To believe all is in Your hands. You will take care of everything that is going on in and around us. In the name of Jesus we pray, amen.

Lord some of us are going through something that only You know. Something we have not shared with anyone. We continue holding onto Your promises. We will not be moved. We ask You keep us strengthened during this time. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Lord as we see this world being lost to the enemy. We pray for those we love who are so stubborn and will not listen to the gospel, who do not want anything to do with Christianity. Lord get a hold of them, for it feels like they are lost forever. Amen

April 30

Father, this is the day that You have made, we will rejoice and be glad in it. We thank You for giving us life. Thank You for the ultimate gift of Your love, the gift of Your Son’s sacrifice. May we never take it for granted. Amen
