May Prayers

May 1

Father, You know our hearts and the fears that often overwhelm them. We confess that sometimes it is hard to trust You when we don't see answers. Forgive us for the times we lean on our own understanding. Remind us that You are faithful, even when we are fearful. Strengthen our hearts to wait on You with confidence. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen

Our Father, sometimes the waiting feels endless and fear whispers that You have forgotten us. At these times we listen to the whispers and they take control. We then try to fix things our own way and we end up in a mess. Lord speak louder than those whispers, give us faith and strength to remain in the waiting. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen

Father, help us to slow down, and quiet our hearts and make time for You. Teach us to be still and open to hear Your voice. Amen

Father God, thank You for the life You’ve given us. Help us to choose joy, appreciate the good in each day and enjoy the abundant life Jesus came to give us. Amen

Father, forgive us for the times we have run to lesser things for comfort. Thank You for Your mercy that follows us even when we wander. Draw us back to You, our true refuge. Teach us to rest in Your presence and to trust that Your timing and plans are perfect. In the name of Jesus we pray.

Lord thank You that nothing is too broken for You to redeem. We give You our losses we cannot fix and the pain we cannot explain. Restore what has been taken and renew our faith in the process. Let Your glory be revealed in every area of our lives that needs Your healing touch. In Jesus' name, amen.

Father, help us to reject the lies of rejection and see ourselves as You do: fully loved, accepted, and forgiven. Heal our hearts and strengthen them with confidence in Your truth. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen

Holy Spirit, thank You for being with us, for protecting us, and for guiding our lives. When we face those dark nights and the enemy tries to attack our minds, protect us. We trust You and ask You to keep us in Your perfect peace. Amen

Thank You Lord for never leaving us. Help us to see Your hand in every season and to let go and follow You even when we cannot see the path. Strengthen our faith and fill our hearts with gratitude for all the ways You have been faithful. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen

Father, You see the things we are carrying, things we are trying to hold after they have already left our hands. Help us to place them in Your hands, for You are not overwhelmed by what overwhelms us. May we trust You and rest in You. In the mighty name of Jesus we pray. Amen

Lord God, help us to use our time wisely today. Guide our choices by Your Spirit so we live with purpose and avoid the regrets that our choices can bring. Oh that we would follow Your will instead of the distractions. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen

Father in heaven we yield every part of our lives to You. Teach us to trust Your wisdom more than our own. Help us to follow Your will with a willing heart and find peace in complete surrender. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Lord change our desires. Remove the fleshly desires that so easily entangles us to sin. We are so weak; strengthen us to withstand these. In the name of Jesus we pray.

Lord, we thank You that everything we are comes from Your grace. Help us to walk humbly, depending on You fully and remember that every talent and success is a gift from You. Amen

Father, help us release control and fully trust You today. Teach us to relax and rest in Your care. That we would follow Your way instead of our own. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen

Lord help us to stay faithful in the small, daily choices. Give us strength to be consistent and obedient in our walk. We can fall short sometimes Lord; we ask for Your forgiveness. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen

Lord God thank You for the gift of prayer. Teach us to listen to Your voice and not lean on our own understanding. May we accept joyfully the path You have chosen for us as we listen to Your leading. In the name of Jesus, amen.

Oh Lord, we need Your empowerment. Some of us are battling addictions. Addiction to porn, to food, to drugs, alcohol. We have been hiding these from the world, but You see. Our desire is to be set free and only You can free us from these sins. We ask this is desperation. In the mighty name of Jesus, amen.

Lord Jesus, may You be our first response to any doubts or fears. We can fail to turn to You when we need the reassurance of what is true. May we be humble enough to run to You, for You truly care. Amen

Lord, give us courage to follow Your instructions even when we do not understand them fully. Teach us to trust You and find joy in doing Your will. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Lord, help us see people through Your eyes. Replace negative thoughts with love, grace, and peace, just as You have given us. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen

Father, help us manage our emotions instead of letting them control us. Teach us self-control. Guide us and help us do what is right no matter how we feel. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen

Dear Lord, may people encounter You through our kindness, integrity, and faith. Oh that our lives would draw others to You. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen

Lord, thank You for all You have given us. We ask You to use it for Your glory and to provide all that we need. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen

Father, help us to remember Your promise that the testing of our faith produces steadfastness. That there is a purpose in all of our trials and suffering. Help us learn and grow stronger in our faith as we go through them. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen

Oh God, we bring You every wound, failure, and regret. Heal our heart, cleanse our soul and restore our future. We trust Your forgiveness and believe You can make us whole again. Amen

Father, we realize how quickly Satan distracts us and then uses our wandering minds. Forgive us for allowing him to lead us astray. We thank You for giving us a good and clear mind. In the name of Jesus, we ask You to help us overcome every temptation to lose our focus. Amen

Father in heaven, You know what we have been through. For we have been through it together. You go above and beyond all we can imagine, so we trust that You will restore us in Your time. Amen

Lord we commit our Military and their families. We pray Your protection over them. Those who are deployed we ask that You bring them home safely. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen

Thank You Lord, for the breath in our lungs and the life You have given to each of us. We are so humbled that the same hands that fashioned the stars and carved the mountains also cares for the smallest details of our lives. You are such an awesome God, thank You. Amen

Lord, help us to keep asking, seeking, and knocking. Strengthen our faith when answers take time and remind us that You are faithful to fulfill every promise in Your perfect way. Amen
