September Prayers

September 1

Thank You Lord for Your plans You have for us are always good. They may not be easy. Yet, Your love remains steadfast through it all. Amen

Lord, You created us with a purpose. You formed us with care and intention, and You know each of us fully. You know exactly what each of our days will look like. Thank You, for equipping us with what we need to walk through whatever takes place. Amen

Father we choose to follow You and may it be faithfully. We pray that You will direct our steps and keep us firmly planted no matter what situations we face. Help us to keep our eyes focused on You and our ears attuned to Your voice. In the name of Jesus we pray.

Lord, help us to stop striving, comparing, and judging. That we would see others through eyes of grace that will reflect Your love. In the name of Jesus we pray.

Lord we know we are not finished. Our lives are still unfolding, and You aren’t done working in and through us. Lord we are afraid as there are parts of our lives that don’t look how they should be, but we trust that that You know exactly what You are doing, for You are molding us into righteous people. Amen

Lord thank You for cradling us in the palm of Your hands. Thank You for caring for the things that we care about. Thank You for being with us especially in moments of shattering times when we find ourselves broken. Thank You. Amen

Father, bless our friends who have become family. Who have come along side us in times of our need, with their prayers, a meal or a hug. May they know what a blessing they are to us. In the name of Jesus we pray.

Sweet Lord, thank You for never leaving us and for filling our lives with Your joy. Please help us continue to seek Your face and always have the certainty that You are good no matter the circumstances. In the mighty name of Jesus. Amen

Jesus, Jesus, Jesus. Lord we cry our Your name. For there are some of us who in our despair right now Your name is the only words we can pray, for in Your name there is power. Amen

God, You are our refuge. Please cover us with Your feathers and help us to find comfort and protection under Your wings as You hold us. For some of us are going through a tough time. In the name of Jesus we pray.

Lord our God, forgive our laziness. Revive us and give us a fresh desire to read Your word. To assemble with our brothers and sisters. Remove the idleness that has gripped us. In the mighty name Jesus we pray.

Father forgive us when we hoard our blessings that You have poured over us. Give us the gift of generosity. Help us to see the needs around us, so that we can bless them as You have blessed us. May our hands let go, and freely joyfully give. In Jesus’ name we pray.

Lord some of us feel as if our hearts are wavering. This world around us is chaotic. We need Your presence, set us on solid ground Lord. This life can at times seems so overwhelming. We ask for Your peace. In the mighty and Holy name of Jesus we pray. Amen

Father forgive us when we struggle with our faith. When we think You are not moving in our lives. Help us to live by faith and not by sight. In the name of Jesus we ask. Amen

Lord God, we look to You, for You are our strength, our protector, our refuge and comfort. We look to You and You alone for You are our Abba. We look to no one else but You. Amen and amen.

Lord You call us to be Your ambassadors. May we truly represent You and not ourselves. Give us the boldness we need to share the gospel whether in word or in action. May those who look at us see nothing but You. In the name of Jesus we pray.

Lord make us loving neighbors. Help us to be aware of the needs they may have. May we have the ability and the selflessness to help them whether in deed or financially. In Your name we pray.

Lord there are times in our lives that our lives get so busy and we worry about problems. There are bills that need to get paid, appointments to get to, children who need to be dropped off, that we forget to just stop and go to You and rest our head. For You care for us, and You give us peace. Amen

Lord help us to truly grasp the value of the blood that was shed for us. To respond to this sacrifice by living a holy and righteous life for You. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen

Father, we come in Jesus’ name and we love You. We put our trust in You. We don’t understand what’s going on in the world, but we know that You do understand it. We don’t know what to do, but we know that You do know what to do. We ask for Your peace during these times. Amen.

Lord we lift up all our family and friends, that they would have peace that passes all understanding and that they would be able to be still even in the midst of difficult times. We pray that You would help them not to worry or to be anxious, but to know that You are faithful, and that You will take care of them. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen

Lord, show us how we can serve You today. Help us to be Your hands and feet, sharing Your love and bringing others closer to You. In the name of Jesus we pray, amen.

Father there are those of us that need a miracle. You know what we are going through. We are at a place that we know that only You have the power to bring healing, only You can rain down manna, only You can open doors or shut them. You are the only one we can run to. We pray for Your mercy and hear our cries. In the name of Jesus we pray.

O Lord, keep us from hard hearts. From ears that dont listen. Keep us from tongues that are quick to speak without wisdom. Keep us from our sinful natures, in the name of Jesus we pray.

Lord, take anything that would hinder the communion we have with You. Anything that we desire that might hamper our walk with You. Anything that takes the place of our prayers or our reading of Your word. Take them away Lord so we can have that sweet fellowship with You. In the name of Jesus we pray.

Lord and Savior, there are many who believe that different paths lead to You, some we even know. Oh touch their hearts Lord, give them wisdom to understand the truth. Open their eyes so they can see the path they are on is from the enemy. In the name of Jesus we pray, amen.

Lord remove any hindrances that keeps us from coming before You in prayer. There is always something that may get in our way, and we make those things a priority instead of our intimacy we can have with You. Forgive us Father. We ask in the name of Jesus. Amen

Father help us to keep focused on You when we pray. Our minds can tend to wander. Help us to take our thoughts captive and direct them back to You so that our words will be what is in our hearts and truly in our minds. In the name of Jesus. Amen

Help us Lord, not to listen to the voice of fear. Or give weight to the “what if’s”. Remind us that You are our deliverer, and You deliver us from our daily enemies. May we put our faith, confidence and hope in You. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen

Father of comfort, we lift up those who are mourning. We pray You give them peace. Oh, may they feel Your presence in the midst of their sorrow. Draw them close to You. In the mighty name of Jesus we pray.
