October Prayers

October 1

Father help us to understand how important it is to be obedient to the moving of the Holy Spirit. When He calls us to share Your word, to make a difference in people’s lives. To be the messenger You’ve called us to be. In the name of Jesus we pray.

October 2

Lord remind us that we can do nothing without You. It is only by You and through You, are we able to live according to Your word. In the mighty name of Jesus we pray.

October 3

Lord Please wash us with the power of Your blood. Free us from the thoughts that block Your light, and replace them with truth, the truth of Your word. As we read Your word, let them sink deep into our minds, that we could not forget them. In the name of Jesus we pray.

October 4

Lord open the ears and the hearts of those we share the gospel with. Some don’t want to hear it. Some can just appease us, looking for a way out of conversation. Soften hearts to receive Your gift of salvation. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen

October 5

Father give us the ability to see those brothers and sisters that are struggling. May we have the the wisdom and discernment how to intercede on their behalf. Whether in deed or in prayer, we ask in Jesus' name, amen.

October 6

Lord forgive us when we look away from You. When we put our eyes on self and our own abilities, our eyes get fogged up and we can not see Your power, Your strength and Your glory. Change us Lord. In the name of Jesus we pray.

October 7

Lord we choose life, but sometimes our walk may not seem like it. Forgive us Lord when we choose self over You. When we choose sin over You. Have mercy we pray in the name of Jesus, amen.

October 8

Lord, we thank You for Your goodness. We thank You for You never change. In our days of sunny skies and in our days of storms You will never forsake us. You are faithful in them all. Amen

October 9

Father in heaven, forgive us when we conform to the sins of this world. When we shrug our shoulders instead of calling sin, sin. When we have the mindset, “It’s no big deal”, or when we think it’s ok to be in the midst of sin and believe it won’t affect us. Forgive us Lord and change us we pray in Jesus' name, amen.

October 10

Lord, some of us are getting older and we are dealing with the challenges that come with aging. We are facing physical limitations, health concerns, and all of the emotions that come with getting older. Cause our eyes to be on You on not on what we see in the mirror. May we rejoice in this new chapter in our lives. In the name of Jesus we pray.

October 11

Lord God, give us victory over our sins. They can have such a stronghold on us. Empower each one of us with the strength and desire to be set free from these sins. In the name of Jesus we ask. Amen

October 12

Lord, may we never let an opportunity slip by. So many times You’ve given us the opportunity to save a life, sort of speak. We have selfishly kept our mouths shut instead of allowing Your words of salvation flow. We can have many excuses. Forgive us when we purposely miss these opportunities. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen

October 13

Lord May Your presence be the thing we most heartedly desire. Revive us Lord. Some of us have fallen into a mundane habit of reading Your word. Lord make Your word feel alive to us again. Give us that fervency we once had to seek Your face. In the name of Jesus we pray.

October 14

Thank You Father, for You never expect us to be perfect. Instead, You meet us at our weakest point with mercy and grace. You generously offer us Your strength when we need it most. You are ever so gentle and compassionate with us, even in the midst of our failures. Amen

October 15

God, some of us are carrying such tension waiting for Your answers. We want quick answers. We do know You’re inviting us into a deeper trust during these times. Help us to praise You and release all this to You. Help us to remember that You are faithful, even in these times. Amen

October 16

Father remove the lies that feed the fire of our doubts and fears. Help us to be aware of these lies and draw our attention to You. For with You is where we will find the truth of Your protection and Your love for us. In the name of Jesus we pray.

October 17

Lord, thank You for Your saving grace. As we continue to move forward, we put our hope in You. Strengthen our faith to trust Your promises, even when we can’t see the path ahead. Amen

October 18

Help us Lord to prioritize Your will and imitate You in all things. May those around us find it evident that You live in us. May we never represent You in any other way, than who You truly are. Amen

October 19

Lord, when we meditate on Your promises, remind us that they are full of Your grace and mercy. May we never have the mindset that we deserve them. May we never have the mindset that You will give us all that we want. For You will give us all that we need and all that is good for us. Amen

October 20

Oh Father, it is so hard to fathom how much You love us. To think that we are constantly on Your mind, written on the palm of Your hands. Continually watching over us. We praise You, we thank You for You are a good good father. Amen and amen

October 21

Sometimes Lord we can feel so outnumbered when we are around unsaved family and friends. We feel weak and feeble to be bold with our faith. Forgive us Lord and make us mighty warriors to share Your word in spirit and in truth. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen

October 22

Lord May we be like Samuel and say, “Speak, for I am listening”. Give us ears to hear Your voice. Give us hearts to love. Give us minds to remember all that You have done for us. Give us hands to serve. Give us feet that walk in Your way. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen

October 23

Lord some of us have lost our way. We need You to direct our paths back to You. Forgive us Lord for going the way of our flesh and not the way of Your Spirit. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen

October 24

Father in heaven, we stand in the gap for children who are being lied to, who are being stripped of their innocence via gender identity. This society is looking to destroy these children with their vile demonic practices. Having children believe what they aren’t. Using the schools and books in the library to distort their thinking. Have mercy Lord, keep them from hearing or seeing these. In the mighty name of Jesus we pray.

October 25

Lord, show us how we can serve You today. Help us to be Your hands and feet, sharing Your love and bringing others closer to You. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen

October 26

Father, we desire to give every part of our lives to You. We thank You that Your power is too great to be confined to any one part of our lives. Today, we choose to submit every part of our lives and everything we have. Our time, our energy, our talents, our finances, our relationships, and emotions — to You. To You alone. Amen

October 27

Father God, help us to obey Your Word and trust Your plan for our lives. Thank You for Your patience and guidance as we learn to follow You more faithfully. Amen

October 28

Father, we are so grateful to know that You see us as Your friend. We want to see You the same way, as our friend. Please draw us closer to You and teach us to grow in friendship with You. In Jesus' name, amen.

October 29

Lord, help us to embrace the person You want us to be. Help us to enjoy ourselves and live free from the lies that come from the enemy when he whispers comparisons that make us feel that we fall short of what You want us to be. In the name of Jesus we ask. Amen

October 30

Father, when we feel rejected, help us shake to it off. Help us to remember that You love us and and accept us unconditionally. In Jesus' name, amen.

October 31

Lord forgive us for our sins and forgive us for the sins we may have omitted from forgetfulness or even ignorance. Make us aware of our sins so we may confess them to You. We pray that You strengthen us against temptation. In the name of Jesus we pray, amen.
