Isaiah 45:11-48:11 | PS 68:19-35 | Prov 24:3-4 | Eph 4:1-16
It doesn't matter if lies are propagated for over one hundred years, lies are lies and truth is truth. It doesn't matter if false teachings become prevalent in a denomination or religion, if it cannot be backed up by the entirety of Scripture, then these teachings are false and should be abandoned. The theory of evolution has been bantered about for well over one hundred years. There is absolutely no way to merge evolution with creation, as the two are divergent. Inherent in evolution is randomness, purposelessness, chaos, disorder. Random events just happened to occur in such a way to bring about the complexity we now call life. On the other hand God is a God of order and purpose. We read in Isaiah 45:18-19, "For the Lord is God, and he created the heavens and the earth and put everything in place. He made the world to be lived in, not to be a place of empty chaos. "I am the Lord,' he says, "and there is no other. I publicly proclaim bold promises. I do not whisper obscurities in some dark corner, I would not have told the people of Israel to seek me if I could not be found. I, the Lord, speak only what is true and declare only what is right." Even the most minimal study of creation reveals order in the movement of the sun, moon, and stars. Even the slightest knowledge of biology shows the absolute order and complexity of every living being. Evolution is a false teaching, but has done it's work by effectively pushing God out of the schools and pushing an agenda which chooses to ignore, disregard, or in God's words despise (take lightly) the One True God.
Many now like to spread the false teaching that Israel is now not Israel. They point to their leadership, to the secular nature of the nation, to the fact that one cannot know the genetics behind those who claim to be "Israel". God's promises are God's promises, and God has never spoken about doing away with Israel. God has and will always be faithful to His covenants. We, Gentiles, some of whom are Christians, have been simply grafted in to the tree (Romans 11). We read in Isaiah 46:3-4, "Listen to me, descendants of Jacob, all you who remain in Israel. I have cared for you since you were born. Yes, I carried you before you were born. I will be your God throughout your lifetime - until your hair is white with age. I made you, and I will care for you. I will carry you along and save you." Throughout the entirety of Scripture we read of times that Israel turned its back on God. There were no shortage of terrible leaders, including Ahaz and Manasseh in Judah, and all of the kings of the northern tribe of Israel. These same Israelites fell into idolatry. Yet, though they were disciplined, they were never done away with. God's promises to Israel were and are still true. It is a terrible thing to dismiss Israel as something of the past. Doing this diminishes our God and His promises.
We read in Ephesians 4:12-15, "Their responsibility is to equip God’s people to do his work and build up the church, the body of Christ. This will continue until we all come to such unity in our faith and knowledge of God’s Son that we will be mature in the Lord, measuring up to the full and complete standard of Christ. Then we will no longer be immature like children. We won’t be tossed and blown about by every wind of new teaching. We will not be influenced when people try to trick us with lies so clever they sound like the truth. Instead, we will speak the truth in love, growing in every way more and more like Christ, who is the head of his body, the church." People need to be students of the truth. This means the entirety of truth, God's book, cover to cover, as there are no shortcuts. Anyone can be fooled if they choose to follow the unbiblical teachings of leaders, denominations, etc. Anyone can be led astray if they choose to follow erroneous teachings passed down through generations. We have God's Word readily available. God is not hiding His truth, it is people who choose to follow lies rather than truth. So, please join us as we continue through God's entire revelation. If you do, you will find it increasingly difficult to hold onto fables and myths and you will be forced to confront the truth of Scripture. Creation is spoken about throughout the entirety of Scripture, not simply the opening chapters of Genesis. God's promises to Israel are present throughout every book of Scripture. Become a student of this amazing Book.
