Second Chronicles is a continuation of the chronicles of the kings of Judah. It pertains to the lives of the kings of Judah and the decline of the kingdom. This book was crucial for a people who were starting over to gain a historical perspective on those things that made the lings of Judah succeed or fail, and to realize that obedience to God affects the well-being of a nation.

Concentrated on the southern kingdom, and beginning with the reign of Solomon, this book covers the remaining history of the kings of Judah and the messianic line of Christ.
