The term "worship" originates from the old English word, "weorthscipe", meaning to ascribe worth. Psalm 150:6 says, "Let everything that has breath praise the Lord" - we are all called to ascribe worth to God!

The music ministry at Calvary Chapel Old Bridge is dedicated to ascribing worth to our Maker. Music is simply a means through which we ascribe worth to God, and in doing so, achieve our greatest purpose - glorifying the One who is worthy of our praise!

In light of this purpose, and mindful of God¹s goodness and faithfulness to us, we emphasize servant-heartedness as well as musical excellence in every aspect of our ministry. Psalm 33:3 says to, "Play skillfully with a shout of joy," yet His ultimate sacrifice bids us "lay our crowns at the feet of Jesus." This music ministry exists to ascribe worth to our maker through music in accordance with His Word!
