Equipping The SaintsEquipping The Saints

The Apostle Paul instructed the Ephesian believers to equip the saints for the work of the ministry (Eph 4:12). Paul also exhorted Timothy, in 2 Timothy 2:2, to pass on the things that he had learned to faithful men who would, in turn, teach others. So as Scripture has given this mandate, it is our goal here at Calvary Chapel Old Bridge to fulfill this ministry and honor this calling.

It is our desire to see the body of Christ built up in their spiritual gifts, encouraged in their faith, and equipped for the ministry to which God has called them. While much of this equipping takes place from the pulpit, some feel led of the Lord to pursue in-depth study. The vision of the Adult Education Program is threefold:

  • ENGAGE the heart and mind with clear, challenging, informative, and relevant biblical teaching. We believe our approach to the Christian faith ought to be both spiritual and intellectual, engaging both the heart and mind.
  • ENCOURAGE Christians in their confidence in God's Word and their ability to apply the truths of the scriptures to everyday living.
  • EQUIP Christians to actively participate in their sphere of ministry by giving them a foundation of biblical knowledge to build upon. We hope to equip believers for their unique and important ministries at home, at work, at school, and anywhere else the Lord may call us to minister.

Courses are held in the evenings and on Saturday mornings to accommodate busy work schedules and to provide the least amount of disruption to the attendee's family life. It is our prayer that through this program you will be richly blessed in your walk with the Lord, and more in love with Him at the completion of your study.

Studying
Classes that offer a foundation of study that will aid you in your personal Bible reading.
