On Saturday, August 11th in Ocean Grove, NJ, one of contemporary Christian music's most celebrated bands, Big Daddy Weave, will be joining thousands for the 3rd annual Bridge FM beach celebration, Bridgefest!

Enjoy fun for the whole family on the beach in Ocean Grove from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm. The evening event begins at 7:00 pm in the Great Auditorium when Bridgefest hosts Fervent/Warner Bros. recording act Big Daddy Weave, performing its smash hit, "Every Time I Breathe."

Mike Weaver, singer-guitarist and primary songwriter of Big Daddy Weave, expressed the band's excitement about participating in Bridgefest in a recent interview (to read the full transcript of the interview, click here):

"We've been so blessed over the past eight years with so many amazing opportunities. Even though we find ourselves in some of the most diverse surroundings we've tried to keep one constant... no matter where we play or who might be listening... we do our best to lift up clearly and unashamedly the name of our savior and friend Jesus Christ. We're so thankful for the chance to sing to Him and encourage whoever will listen this year at Bridgefest!"

The evening event also will include messages from two of the Bridge's most beloved teachers - our own Pastor Lloyd Pulley of Calvary Chapel Old Bridge and the Bridging the Gap radio ministry and Pastor Jack Abeelen of Morningstar Christian Chapel in Whittier, Calif., and the Growing Thru Grace radio ministry. Opening the concert will be CCOB favorite Unspoken, an up-and-coming Christian music act from Philadelphia whose fusion of rock, pop, funk and Latin music has inspired audiences throughout the area.

"Wow, are we excited about having Big Daddy Weave be a part of this year's Bridgefest celebration," said Pastor Lloyd. "They are near the top of the charts in their expression of praise to the Lord and have really touched a chord with growing believers."

On the beach all day, the festival will include music, teaching, testimonies, an ocean baptism, face painting, barbecue, a variety of cool inflatables for everyone from toddlers to teens, plus volleyball, Frisbee and other games.

Beach badges are $7, free for children younger than age 12. Badges can be purchased at the info table at CCOB or online at www.bridgefest.org. Order early to receive a complimentary gift and be entered to win prizes. A love offering will be accepted during the evening concert.

"So whether you come to the day's events and hang out at the beach," Pastor Lloyd said, "or join us in the auditorium for the evening celebration or both, we anticipate the Lord doing a marvelous work in our joining together over some great music and activities and teaching."
