When people hear the word church, sadly many of these images come to mind.
But that is not the way God designed church, nor is it a Biblical picture of the early church. Church is not supposed to be a dead or dying place, where good people gather on stiff pews in stiff clothes serving a stiff, impersonal God. In fact, the church isn’t really a building at all.
The church – eclesia in the Greek – IS the believers in Jesus Christ. You and I, all of us who have call Jesus Christ Lord, WE are the church.
The church is comprised of the people of God. As unique, varied, and vibrant as God’s people are, so is His church.
So, we may call the building where those believers gather the “church,” but its important to understand its more than a building.
In much the same way, Calvary Chapel Old Bridge is more than a building. It is a vibrant community of believers in the Lord Jesus Christ. We gather to worship Him, study His Word, serve His people, and share His Gospel. In every ministry, class, service, and outreach, our goal is glorify God and see Him at work in our midst.
Put short, Calvary Chapel Old Bridge is HIS. We welcome you to learn more about us, and as you do, we pray you will learn much more about the one we serve, Jesus.
